Yamini Rangan is Chief Executive Officer at HubSpot. Prior to becoming CEO, Yamini served as HubSpot's first-ever Chief Customer Officer, overseeing the marketing, sales, and services teams.
A tech industry veteran, Yamini has more than 24 years of experience ranging from product marketing, sales, and strategy. Yamini previously served as Chief Customer Officer at Dropbox, where she was responsible for embedding customer focus across the organization. Before Dropbox, she was VP of Sales Strategy and Operations at Workday, where she helped quadruple revenue and scaled the sales organization. At SAP, Yamini held several customer-facing leadership roles in strategy, pre-sales and value-based selling and helped close landmark deals.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, a Master’s in Computer Engineering, and an MBA from Berkeley. In 2019, Yamini was recognized as one of the Most Influential Women in Business by San Francisco Business Times. Yamini currently serves on the Board of Splunk, a cybersecurity company.
Brian Halligan, co-founder and executive chairperson of HubSpot, served as the company's CEO until 2021. During this time, he earned consistent recognition on Glassdoor’s and Comparably’s lists of best CEOs.
Brian coined the term "inbound marketing" and together with Dharmesh Shah built a movement around the concept, which included organizing the INBOUND event and co-authoring the book Inbound Marketing.
Prior to HubSpot, Brian earned an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management where he continues to stay involved. Brian developed MIT’s popular Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures class, which he has taught for over a decade. In recognition of his outstanding mentorship in entrepreneurship, MIT Sloan honored Brian with the Monosson Prize in 2023. In addition to teaching on the topic of scaling, Brian tweets, writes, presents, and talks on the topic often.
As the founder of Propeller Ventures, Brian directs a $100 million climate tech venture fund, specializing in ocean innovation investments. He serves on the boards of Navier and Aquatic Labs.
A passionate fan and scholar of the Grateful Dead, Brian co-wrote Marketing Lessons From the Grateful Dead with Bill Walton and David Meerman Scott. As the proud owner and steward of Jerry Garcia's Wolf guitar, he continues to honor the legacy of the iconic band. Currently, Brian is working on a film that explores the life and times of John Perry Barlow. He is also a co-author of an upcoming Harvard Business Review case study on the Grateful Dead.
Brian started his career with a BSEE from the University of Vermont. He was an early employee at PTC and rose to become an SVP of sales there over a 10-year span. Then he ran sales at Groove Networks, which was later acquired by Microsoft.
Dharmesh Shah is co-founder and CTO of HubSpot. Prior to founding HubSpot in 2006, Dharmesh was founder and CEO of Pyramid Digital Solutions, which was acquired by SunGard Data Systems in 2005.
In addition to co-authoring “Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media and Blogs”, Dharmesh founded and writes for OnStartups.com -- a top-ranking startup blog and community with more than 700,000 members.
In 2013, Dharmesh published HubSpot’s Culture Code, which has garnered over five million views. Named an Inc. Founders 40 in 2016, he is an active member of the Boston-area entrepreneurial community, an angel investor in over 60 startups, and a frequent speaker on startups, inbound marketing, and company culture.
Dharmesh holds a BS in Computer Science from UAB and an MS in the Management of Technology from MIT.
Andrew Anagnost has served as a member of our Board since August 2023. Mr. Anagnost is the current President and Chief Executive Officer of Autodesk. Dr. Anagnost’s career spans more than 25 years of product, business, and marketing experience focused on driving strategy, transformation, and product development — and includes positions at Autodesk, Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Company, and EXA Corporation. He also completed a doctorate degree at Stanford University and worked at NASA Ames Research Center as an NRC post-doctoral fellow. Prior to becoming President and CEO in June 2017, he served as Chief Marketing Officer and SVP of the Business Strategy & Marketing organization. Anagnost is also a member of the Autodesk Board of Directors.
Nick Caldwell has served as a member of our Board since January 2021. Mr. Caldwell was previously Vice President of Engineering for Consumer Products at Twitter from June 2020 to December 2021, and General Manager for Core Technologies from December 2021 to November 2022. From October 2018 to June 2020, Mr. Caldwell served as Chief Product Officer for Looker Data Sciences, a business intelligence firm acquired by Google in 2020. Prior to that, Mr. Caldwell held the position of Vice President of Engineering for Reddit from October 2016 to October 2018. Mr. Caldwell also spent fifteen years at Microsoft and held various positions, most recently as General Manager for the Power BI product organization.
Ron Gill has served as a member of our Board since June 2012. Mr. Gill has served as an operating partner of Lead Edge Capital, a growth equity investment firm, since June 2018. Mr. Gill has also served as a director of Amplitude, Inc. since June 2019. From 2007 to 2017, Mr. Gill held multiple positions at NetSuite, Inc., including chief financial officer from 2010 until 2017, including through NetSuite’s acquisition by Oracle in 2016. Prior to joining NetSuite, Mr. Gill was vice president, finance at Hyperion Solutions. Previously, he held a variety of financial positions with several technology companies, including SAP, Dell, and Sony.
Claire Hughes Johnson has served as a member of our Board since March 2022. Since April 2021, Ms. Hughes Johnson has served as a corporate officer and advisor for Stripe. Ms. Hughes Johnson previously served as Stripe’s chief operating officer from October 2014 until April 2021. During her time at Stripe, she led business operations, sales, marketing, customer support, risk, real estate, and all of its people functions. Prior to Stripe, Ms. Hughes Johnson spent ten years at Google leading sales and operations teams and in general management roles leading product, engineering, sales, and operations. Ms. Hughes Johnson has served on the board of directors of Ameresco since July 2021 and on the board of directors of Aurora Innovation since January 2022.
Lorrie Norrington has served as a member of our Board since September 2013. Ms. Norrington has served as an operating partner of Lead Edge Capital, a growth equity investment firm, since 2012. Ms. Norrington has served on the board of directors of Autodesk since 2011, Colgate-Palmolive since 2015, and Asana since July 2019, and also previously served on the boards of directors of Eventbrite from April 2015 to August 2020, Duo Security from October 2017 to October 2019, Signal Sciences from December 2018 to October 2020, Shopping.com, McAfee, Lucasfilm, and DIRECTV. In addition, Ms. Norrington has served as a director of Ancestry since March 2021. From 2005 to 2010, Ms. Norrington served in several senior management roles at eBay, including President of Global Marketplaces, CEO of Shopping.com, SVP of Intuit, and General Electric Company.
Jay Simons has served as a member of our Board since January 2017. Mr. Simons has been a general partner at Bond Capital Management LP since November 2020. He previously served as a Director of Dragoneer I from July 2020 to July 2021 and of Dragoneer II from November 2020 to December 2021, and has served on the board of directors for Dragoneer Growth Opportunities Corp. III since March 2021. Mr. Simons served in various executive roles at Atlassian Corporation Plc, including its president from 2011 until July 2020 and as vice president of sales and marketing from June 2008 until August 2011. From October 2005 to May 2008, Mr. Simons served in various roles, including vice president, marketing, at BEA Systems, Inc. an enterprise software company, which was acquired by Oracle Corporation in 2008. From 1998 to 2005, Mr. Simons served in various roles, including vice president, product marketing & strategy, at Plumtree Software, Inc., a web software company, which was acquired by BEA Systems, Inc. in 2005.
Jill Ward has served as a member of our Board since October 2017. Ms. Ward has also served on the board of directors of Informatica since May 2021, and on the board of directors at Dynatrace since September 2019, including as its chair since January 2021. Between October 2018 and February 2020, Ms. Ward served as an operating partner of Lead Edge Capital, a growth equity investment firm. From December 2018 to October 2019, she served as a director of Carbon Black. In 2018, she served as a director of Adaptive Insights, which was acquired by Workday in 2018. Ms. Ward previously served as president and chief operating officer of Fleetmatics from 2015 until its acquisition by Verizon Communications in 2016. Prior to Fleetmatics, from 2001 to 2014, Ms. Ward served as vice president and then senior vice president and general manager at Intuit. Prior to 2001, Ms. Ward’s experience included leadership roles at Fidelity Investments and Bain & Company.
